Wow, this was just one of those real estate transactions that you are happy it is over–everyone is happy is over, but the buyers got their dream house in the end. While I was away on vacation, my realtor friend, Clay Wilson, helped the Huddlestons find a great deal in Anaheim. They had been outbid on several foreclosure properties and were getting a little exchaused when this 3 bedroom home in Anahiem came on the market. It was a traditional sale and the retired seller agreed to participate in the FHA Nehemiah Down Payment Assistance Program. This would allow my clients to purchase the property with absolutely no money out of their pocket. In fact, they give a gift of 3% of the downpayment.Â
Well, as typicall with new program it took much longer than expected to get their loan in place–two weeks longer. So, towards the end everyone was rushing around like crazy to get the final requirements in place so the Huddlestons could move out of their rental.
Despite all the delays and complications, the Huddlestons were incredibly patience and cooperative. They are some of the nicest people I have had the privledge of working with and would have done anything to make sure they got their dream house.Â
